k9Cabana Dog Resort

The last week of August in Myrtle Beach is always a great affair and this year is expected to be no exception. During the week and on Labor Day Weekend, the Hot Summer Nights program is slated to host free concerts at Plyler Park along with spectacular fireworks. If you are hoping to visit the area with your four-legged friend, now is the time to start finalizing your plans. To help you along, here are a few tips:

Myrtle Beach Dog Policy

The City of Myrtle Beach has specific laws when it comes to bringing your four-legged family member to the beach. For starters, they must be on a 7-foot (or shorter) leash at all times. In addition, prior to Labor Day, they are prohibited from being on the beach from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. After Labor Day, the beach rules change.

If you do decide to take your dog to the beach, remember to bring along doggy sunscreen, booties, portable water and pooper scooper materials. It is also a good idea to wash the saltwater and sand off of their bodies too. After all, the hot sand and sun can wreak havoc on their skin and paws.

Our doggy daycare in Myrtle Beach, K9 Cabana, offers grooming services that can help you in that regard. You may want to consider scheduling a bath plus or full groom session that includes a flea treatment and a trim. That way, you won’t have to worry about sand fleas or ticks either.

Myrtle Beach Fireworks & Crowds

You’ll also want to keep in mind that all of the new sights, smells and sounds of the Labor Day Weekend may over stimulate your dog. Therefore, you’ll want to be prepared with a safe place that he or she can go to relax. One great place to consider is our doggie daycare in Myrtle Beach.

Our dog resort and spa features everything that your beloved pet will need to unwind. Those features include comfy couches, private cabanas, a splash pool, a play yard and organic dog treats. We even offer a K9 Cabana Dog Resort taxi service, so you won’t have to worry about how you’re going to get your loved one to and from our facility.

Please know that you may opt to reserve a full or half day doggy daycare session at our Myrtle Beach location or an overnight stay. The choice is yours. However, whichever option you choose, just make sure that you schedule your dog’s visit early. We tend to book up quickly around the holidays.
